Grow A Garden Mutations Explained: Full List & Value Multipliers (2026)

Introduction

There are now over 90 mutations in Grow a Garden, split across three groups: Growth (ร—), Temperature (+) and Environmental (+).

This guide is part of our Grow a Garden knowledge base. If you want to put what you read here straight to use, head to the Grow A Garden Calculator on the homepage.

Growth mutations (multiplicative)

  • Gold (ร—20) โ€“ appears at random as the crop grows.
  • Rainbow (ร—50) โ€“ the rarest, biggest single boost in the game.

Temperature mutations

Wet (+1), Chilled (+1), Drenched (+4), Frozen (+9). Apply via sprinklers and weather.

Environmental mutations

This is where most of your stacking happens โ€” examples include Pollinated (+2), Honey Glazed (+4), Cooked (+9), Shocked (+99), Celestial (+119), Disco (+124), Voidtouched (+134), Dawnbound (+149).

How stacking works

All temperature + environmental mutations add to a single multiplier pool. The final formula uses (1 + sum), so 5 mutations worth +99 each = ร—496. Multiply that by a Rainbow growth and you’re looking at ร—24,800.

You can test any combo in our Mutation Stacking Calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have Gold and Rainbow at once?

No โ€” growth mutations are mutually exclusive. You’ll get one or the other (or neither).

Which is the best mutation to chase?

Dawnbound (+149) currently gives the largest single bump in the environmental pool.
